Sunday Best

Today is the first birthday of my good friend, Ian. Happy birthday, EO! I am so glad we are friends.

Here's a little flash back to April 11, 2009.

I was hanging out in the waiting room while Mommy got to see Ian for the first time. Apparently, hospitals aren't so crazy about 2 month old babies hanging out with newborns ("Uncle" Oscar did give my parents permission to sneak me in the next day, though).

Here's the birthday boy now! Isn't he a cutie?

Ian celebrated his birthday by hanging out with his mommy and me in the nursery this morning. Nursery days are always good when my "Aunt" Tara is with me!

We also did some celebrating with Eddie and Trish today. They are getting married in 3 weeks, so Mommy and a few other ladies from our church hosted a shower for them in the Fireside Room this afternoon.

I wasn't able to go to the shower because it fell right in the middle of my afternoon nap. Poppy did bring me up to the church at the end, though. I had a blast playing in the garden area!

Poppy used to be in the aviation field. I think he's trying to sway me towards the life of a pilot here.
This duck (Mommy kept calling it a swan, but I corrected her) was my favorite part of the garden.

Could an affinity for fowl run in the family?
This 11 year old picture of Daddy leads me to believe so.

Okay, spring is going to be an expensive season for all of us. We've got Katelyn, Preston, Ian, Karsyn, and Leila's birthdays all in a row! Not to mention my parents and Ryan's parents are all within a month of each other, too! With all that celebrating going on so close together, it's going to feel like Christmas!

I know, Michele! There's also graduations, Mother's Day, Father's Day, and summer weddings. Alyssa and my mom both have birthdays in June, too. I think the only break we get is late summer until Christmas.

Awwwww! That's so cool that you said happy birthday to Ian! And I love that pic of you and Ian on Day 0!

And don't forget Oscar's b-day in March and mine in April. Oh, and Martin Luther King, Jr. kicks it all off in January:)
