Road Trip

We took our very first family of 4 road trip last weekend.  Daddy took an extra day off work aaaand took Sunday off (gasp!), so we were able to get away for a few days to see our Hill Country family.

And we had a great time!

Elliot and I played and played and played and played with our cousins, McB and SLiM.

McB and I enjoyed kayaking with our daddies.

We visited SeaWorld...
where Mommy was thrilled to discover nursing stations! She'll take nursing in a quiet, air conditioned, private room over a noisy, stiffling, crowded seating area any day.

And we ate lots of good food. (Thanks, Aunt Becky!)

Mommy and Daddy spent a good deal of the trip juxtaposing this experience with the Hill Country visit we made when I was about Elliot's age.  We are all happy to tell you that 7 week old Elliot was a much better road tripper than 10 week old Katelyn!  Just look at how chillaxed the little guy was at SeaWorld.

Family of Four First: Apple Store

Our little family of four had another first this week when we all loaded up in the car and headed to the Apple store in Uptown Dallas.

Elliot was moderately impressed by their lighting scheme.  I, on the other hand, was amazed at all of the iPad Apps that were available to try out at the kids table.  Mommy was smitten with the "alternative seating" at said tables.

And Daddy was just in heaven.  Apple heaven.

Family of Four First: Pajama Walk

Last night we took our first walk as a family of four.  Mommy and Daddy let me walk in my (mismatched) jammies with (mismatched) sandals and "crazy hair".  I couldn't believe it when they okayed all that silliness!
(Isn't that a lovely pile of branches behind me?  A few weeks ago just about everyone on our half of the street received a citation from the city stating that our branches were hanging too low.  Now our yards are full of beautiful branches as we wait for the city to come pick them up!)

Elliot managed to sleep through the whole walk.

My baby doll got a pretty good nap in, too...even when I ran like a wild woman.

Daddy let me push Elliot's stroller for the last bit of our walk.  It sure did make me feel like a good big sister!

Look at that sleepy little man!  I sure do love him.
