Hello, Bug's Life Readers!
It has come to my attention that having a voice on this blog is one of the many perks of being born into my family. I believe that blog control has largely been in the hands of my sister, Katelyn, but (just like everything else in her life) she will now be learning to share with me.
Here's what I know about myself at 18 days old:
I love to eat! At my two week well baby appointment I was already up to 9 lbs 3.5 oz (that's two pounds more than when I left the hospital) and 21.5 inches. That puts me in the 75th percentile for weight and height. I generally eat every two hours during the day and every three hours at night...although last night I was extra hungry so I woke every hour and a half or so.
When people first see me they think I look just like my sister. After they've stared at my face for a while, though, they start to notice that I'm really quite different from her. In fact, I look a whooooole lot like Mommy's baby pictures (whereas Katelyn looks a whoooole lot like Daddy's pictures).
This is Mommy at 3 days old...
and me at 11 days old.
I am a bit on the 'windy' side. Mommy and Daddy get lots of burps and toots out of me...which means I get lots of giggles out of Katie Bug.
Dairy doesn't seem to be a problem for me. Mommy is pretty excited about that since she went dairy free for 8 months while nursing my big sissy.
I'm super easy to put back to sleep after my night time feedings. All I need is a diaper change, a SwaddleMe wrap, and a good burp.
Overall, I'm a pretty chill baby. Unless I've got a gas bubble.
