Happy Monthday to Me

It's hard to believe it, but one month has already passed since my first birthday. Mommy and Daddy are amazed at how much more toddler-like I have become in the last few weeks.

Here are some things you should know about me at 13 months:

I enjoyed meeting my new friend, Karsyn, this weekend. She was so itty, bitty!

As of Monday, I'm completely weaned! I've decided cow's milk isn't so bad, after all.

I have my own bike helmet and have been on two real bike rides. The helmet, I could do without...but I love riding a bike! After both rides, I showed my parents the sign for "more".

I own my very first pair of big girl jams. No footies, zippers, or fleece, thank you very much.
I use my pointer finger to show people how old I am.

My favorite songs are The Alphabet Song, The Itsy Bitsy Spider, and Shane and Shane's Before the Throne. Even Mommy's subpar singing skills can't deter my love.

My newest favorite foods are strawberries, plums, and graham crackers. And while avacados have long been a fave of mine, I have only recently discovered the joy of mashing them in my little palms.

"No", "Biba" (Bible), and "nanana" (banana) are the latest additions to my vocabulary. Mommy and Daddy are thankful that I have only tried that first word out on Auntie's dog...so far.

As of the last few days, my home life is made up of 70% walking, 30% crawling. When I'm away from home, though, I'm not quite so adventuresome.

I am fascinated by the moon.
